Welcome to Amanuensis! By using our platform, you’re agreeing to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully — they’re here to protect both you and us.
1. Your Content Is Yours
Anything you create, upload, or store in Amanuensis belongs entirely to you. We just hold onto it so you can work on it. We will never copy, sell, or distribute your work without your express permission. You can export your work at any time and if you delete it, we’ll remove it from our systems within a reasonable period.
2. Data Storage & Backups
We’ll do our best to store your data securely and keep backups, but technology isn’t perfect. While we take commercially reasonable measures to protect your work, we can’t be held liable for any data loss, corruption, or downtime. We encourage you to keep your own backups of important work.
3. AI-Generated Output
Amanuensis uses large language models to provide ideas, suggestions, images, and other creative outputs. These responses are provided “as is” without any guarantees of accuracy, reliability, or suitability for your purpose. You are responsible for how you use the output. We cannot always control or predict what the AI will generate — it may occasionally produce content that is offensive, incorrect, or defamatory. We do not endorse such content and accept no liability for any harm, damage, or losses that result from using it.
4. Fair Use & No Reverse Engineering
You agree not to:
- Copy, replicate, modify, or reverse-engineer Amanuensis or its underlying technology.
- Attempt to access the platform in any unauthorized way.
- Use Amanuensis in any manner that violates applicable laws or regulations.
5. Account Responsibility
You’re responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, let us know immediately.
6. Service Changes & Availability
We’re constantly improving Amanuensis. This means we may add, modify, or remove features at any time. We aim for high availability, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted access to the service.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Amanuensis and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
8. Termination
You may stop using Amanuensis at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if we believe your use poses a risk to the service or other users.
9. Changes to These Terms
If we make significant changes to these Terms, we’ll notify you via the platform or by email. Continued use of Amanuensis after the changes take effect means you agree to the new Terms.
