a word from the founder.
I'm a writer, a storyteller, and an online technology guy. I've been writing stories and building worlds for as long as I can remember.
When I discovered the web (a long time ago!) I saw it as another medium for manifesting the ideas in my imagination - another space for creation, like the blank screen of a word processor or a blank canvas on a painter's easel. So I dove into the tech side with gusto.
One thing I've noticed ever since: in my writing - in all my pursuits, really - I find I'm always smarter when I'm not alone. Without outside input, I'm blind to my own blind spots and stuck in my head. Sometimes on repeat.
And now AI is here.
Informally I've been experimenting with using LLMs in the process of writing and worldbuilding for a while now. I don't let it write anything for me, but wow does it make my writing better. It sparks ideas, inspirations, and finds connections I wouldn't have made alone. Writing had always been a solitary endeavor for me- but suddenly I had a partner in crime.
I've been working on how to package what's working for me and I'm excited to be able to share it with you. I hope you enjoy using it as much as I enjoyed building it. I'd love to work with you to make it better. And I can't wait to see what you do with it.
